Everton (along with Tottenham) have conceded more goals on the final day of a Premier League season than any other team, 31. It is 10 years since Everton last failed to score in their final game of the season. Portsmouth have failed to score in four of their last five final day games. 14 of Tim Cahill's last 17 Premier League goals have been headed. 47% of Portsmouth's goals this season have been scored by loan players. In the last 10 league games in which Everton have scored, they have scored a goal in the last five minutes in seven of them.

Although David Moyes could utilise a number of youngsters for their last 2009-10 fixture, midfielder John Heitinga has confessed he's desperate to feature.

The Dutch international has been sidelined for three games since picking up a hairline fracture on his ankle against Aston Villa, but the player of the month for March is now back in contention.

Everton are still without Marouane Fellani after ankle surgery and starlet Dan Gosling is sidelined with a ruptured cruciate knee ligament.

However, Jack Rodwell and Leon Osman should be back in contention after overcoming their respective set-backs.

Last starting XI (v Stoke City): Howard; Baines, Yobo, Jagielka, Distin; Neville, Arteta, Cahill, Osman (Rodwell); Saha (Yakubu), Anichebe (Bilyaletdinov).

It's a race against time for players to prove to Avram Grant they are ready for the FA Cup final, although for some the clash with Everton might come too soon.

Richard Hughes pulled up with a sore hamstring against Wolves last weekend, although Jamie O'Hara (back), Hassan Yebda (thigh) and Hayden Mullins are hopeful of a timely recovery. Tal Ben-Haim and Nadir Belhadj are also not far away after overcoming hamstring concerns.

Striker Aruna Dindane struck three times in his last two outings but hobbled off with a groin strain last week, while Aaron Mokoena was also replaced at half-time with a calf problem.

They joined Marc Wilson (hamstring), Ricardo Rocha (thigh), Angelos Basinas (hamstring) and Hassan Yebda (thigh) in a packed treatment room.

Last starting XI (v Wolverhampton Wanderers): James; Finnan, Vanden Borre, Sowah, Mokoena (Ward); Brown, Utaka, Hughes (Diop), Boateng; Piquionne, Dindane (Smith).

Goal.com: The traditional end of season balminess could take its toll on this fixture with nothing at stake, but with so many injury concerns and a Wembley

showpiece on the horizon, Portsmouth could be forgiven for having their minds elsewhere.

With only one draw between these two sides in their 13 Premier League meetings - and three goals or more scored in this fixture for the past three campaigns

- goals for the in-form Everton could be in store.

Everton 4-1 Portsmouth
