I found this site which has a great set of articles for poker players who like betting on UK and Irish horseracing. It gives the basics of what you should be looking at when deciding to pick your selections and includes a 5 essential criteria for making your shortlist.. very interesting read

Omaha is only a bit inferior to the popularity of Texas holdem, so, if you want to play Omaha online it is represented in almost every poker room. Just like in all other kinds of poker, the player needs to collect the highest winning combination.
Differences from the Texas poker consist in the fact that in Omaha players hand consists of four cards, and the five community cards are dealt. However, in order to collect the greatest combination, the player can only use two of their four cards in his hand.
This kind of poker is attractive in fact that lot of attention is paid to cards that are in players’ hand, in order not to miss out on lucrative cards. Opportunity to gain a stronger hand is increased in several times, compared with other types of poker.
Another difference from Texas holdem is that in Omaha player has a right to see the hand of other players, if they were folded, and the last bet was made. The dealer flips and shows cards.
This is one of the most spectacular and interesting kinds of poker, a scenario may develop suddenly and twisted, so the player that didn’t have any combination at the beginning, in the end wins a very strong hand.
If you want to play omaha online, you should notice, that it requires a lot more experience from the player, than Texas holdem.

I never really liked horse racing or rather I should say I think that horse racing is hard to be successful at when betting. The fact of the matter is that there are so many different horses to choose and from a numbers aspect it is daunting when compared to other things.
