Thanks for the league folks, but I'm tired of making time for the PowerPoker games just to end up staring at 9 empty seats and then having to deal with the one crazy bingo-playing Russian that does show up.

As much as I enjoy a good league and good competition this one is just not worth it anymore. . .

I'm sorry you feel this way.....we will probably take a break next month from the league to change host. When we come back I think we will change our password system so the passwords are not leaked.

The problem we have is players signing up for the league with the only purpose of sucking out our passwords and posting them on Russian and Romanian forums.

What do you suggest we do??

Short of full ticketing and/or activity requirements? Post passwords as close to game time as possible -- not weeks in advance, more like 5 and no more than 15 minutes before -- and eliminate late registration -- not a problem on Cake rooms. That's what most forums are doing to minimize leaks if they can't get the rooms to accept registration lists. . .

I'm a moderator at another forum. We require activity -- hey, if I'm not active enough here then I don't deserve to play and I understand that concept -- and have other methods that members can get access to games. But if you're holding an open league with no other requirements then I'd suggest the steps above. . .

I think we will cut down on the number of freerolls....make the prize pools bigger and post passwords close to tournament start time.

Yes, I think those are good ideas, so I would definitely reconsider. As to whether I can continue that will depend on the venue chosen for the next round of the league.

Sorry, I can't remember -- I get a LOT of poker-related email -- and the trash can on the email account registered here was cleaned out. If you want to resend I can let you know. . .
