Blackburn Vs Birmingham - Soccer Prediction & Preview,
Note: For more picks and preview, please check out my facebook page SHADY Get Your Bonus Now Overview: This is a massive game for both sides as both of the is flight to stay in top flight football. Both clubs got massive results last weekend when Blackburn managed to hold out Arsenal for a 0-0 draw while Birmingham went on to take all three points against Bolton. Both clubs will want to build on that result last weekend and get something out of this game. Both teams are currently level on points with 34 apiece, with Blackburn playing a game extra. Therefore, Blackburn cannot afford to lose this game against Birmingham, especially with his game being played at Ewood Park. Blackburn’s away form is simply awful and they will have to bank on their home games to keep them up. Heading into this game, Blackburn will be without Nzonzi who is suspended for three games following his red card last weekend against Arsenal. Apart from Nzonzi, Andrews, Dunn and Grella are all out injured. On the other hand, Birmingham will be without Bentley and Jiranek for this game while Martins and Zigic are both doubtful. With both Zigic and Martins doubtful, the attacking duty might once again be on veteran Kevin Phillips and Cameron Jerome’s shoulders. However, Alex Mcleish is likely to start with only one up front leaving five in midfield. Verdict: The outcome of this game is crucial, especially for Blackburn. The cannot afford to drop points at home if they wish to stay in the Premier League but Birmingham themselves will think that a draw on the road is more than a decent result. Ben Foster is in some form and it will be difficult to see how this goal-shy Blackburn side will find the back of the net. Blackburn will get a chance or two in the entire game but I don’t expect many and with the kind of form Foster is in, it makes things even more difficult for the home side to score. This will be a closely encounter game as six of the last eight meetings between both sides are settled by a single goal margin. In addition, the last nine matches between both sides have ended up in a home win – and this could well be the game this voodoo ends. This is not one of those banker bets that I’ll go all in, but the handicap in my opinion favours the away side. Blackburn are in no position to give such a big handicap as they are winless in their last seven, four of them. Shady Recommends: Birmingham @ +0.5 with Bet365 |
