Default Figueirense - Sao Paulo

The hosts are far from their form from the last season (at least at the start of the new season in Campeonato Brasileiro), when The Black-Whites finished on 7th position in the standings. Now the things seems much more harder for Argel Fucks and his players, as Figueirense sits on 17th position in the standings (relegation zone), with only one victory after ten rounds (1-5-4 13-17) and 1-3-1 7-7 at "Orlando Scarpelli" in this period. In fact, the only victory for this team came in the opening round of the season (Figueirense - Nautico 2-1 on 20.05.2012), while The Black-Whites managed to win only five points in the next nine rounds. The main reason for these disappointing results seems to be in their poor defence, as the hosts conceded a total of seventeen goals in 10 games since the beginning of the season (1.70 goals per game) and at least one goal in each of their last six games. In fact, a reason for optimism may be the fact, that The Black-Whites lost only once in five games at "Orlando Scarpelli" since the start of the campaign in Campeonato Brasileiro and also - the fact, that the hosts showed good efficiency in attack in their last two games, as they managed to score five goals in those two encounters (2.50 goals per game). In the matter of fact, The Black-Whites scored at least one goal in four of their last five games at "Orlando Scarpelli", but their poor defence was the reason, why they won only once in those five encounters.Julio Cesar (striker / 3 goals in the last five games), Caio (striker / 2 goals in the last five games) and Roni (midfielder / 2 goals in the last five games) shows good form recently and I doubt, that with these three players up front, the hosts will fail to score at least one goal in this game.Sao Paulo, on the other hand, sits on 7th position in the standings, with 5-1-4 12-11 after ten games and 1-1-3 6-9 away from home in this period. The visitors are currently twelve points behind Atletico MG in the standings, which simply mean, that they already lost their chances to fight for the title this season. On the other hand, Ney Franco's men are still in a good position to attack a place in Top 4 - which, considering the potential of this team, is an achievable task. The visitors are not so convincing when playing away from home this season, as they managed to win only once in their last five away games, but with players like Luis Fabiano (striker / 2 goals in the last five games) and Jadson (midfielder / 2 goals in the last five games) up front, I expect them to score at least one goal in this visit. In fact, Sao Paulo is without a single defeat in the last five visits at "Orlando Scarpelli" (2-3-0 7-4 / all competitions), as the visitors managed to score at least one goal in each of their last three games here.On the other hand, Ney Franco's men allowed at least one goal in each of their last seven visits, so I expect, that they may have some problems in defence in this clash.
